Using Nave, the company was able to streamline the process of building an app for a global food products company.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur team loves using Nave,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/souzafrancine\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Francine Souza<\/a>, Agile Project Manager at ArcTouch, said. \u201cIt gives us the insight and clarity we need to optimize our sprints.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>Getting Everyone on Board<\/h2>\n<p>In August of last year, Francine teamed up with another project manager to start tracking their team\u2019s progress with Nave.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI used the project as a test case for analyzing workflow metrics by looking at what the graphics and the charts are showing us,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA few months later we checked the graphs again and we could see huge improvements in the number of issues. We managed to reduce the time tickets spent in the QA phase, and the lines on the Cumulative Flow Diagram were increasing constantly as they should.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAfter this, I started implementing a Nave session with my team. This 30-minute meeting takes place after every sprint and we look at our metrics to figure out how we can improve the next sprint.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Nave helps Francine and her team get clarity for really important project management issues.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt the end of each sprint, we look at charts like the Cumulative Flow Diagram to gauge the stability of our workflow. We also check the Throughput Run Chart to see how our delivery rates are stacking up. Had the probability percentage been lower, we would have investigated reducing the features for this release. In the end, we actually finished everything two weeks earlier than forecast.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>Where\u2019s the Bottleneck?<\/h2>\n<p>At ArcTouch, Nave brings people onto the same page and helps them see, interact with, and better understand data.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe ability to spot bottlenecks at a glance is what makes Nave such a powerful tool,\u201d Francine said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen reviewing the CFD I noticed an unusually wide band in the QA stage. We wanted to minimize communication overhead during the sprint as this was slowing us down.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese changes have reduced our ticket reopen rate by 5x,\u201d Francine added.<\/p>\n<h2>Curbing the Cravings of More Than 1M Users<\/h2>\n<p>Francine believes that, instead of relying on intuition, it\u2019s important to use data to support decision-making.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDecisions based on data are more accurate than anything else. This is what will yield you the best results, in turn boosting your team morale and helping them focus on continuous improvement,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen you\u2019re in the trenches doing hands-on work, it\u2019s difficult to see the big picture.
